Yesterday an important new UN report was published that has led one senior UK politition to comment that “the debate on global warming is now over”. This is because 2500 scientists and 100 governments have agreed in the report that global warming is happening and is very likely to be caused by human activity. The report also makes the point that it is not too late to do something about it. At Bushloe we are looking towards living and working in a more sustainable way and this week we will be meeting to write down a practical list of things we want to achieve before July. Also we will be looking to recruit a team to repeat the environmental building survey that we did in the old building. By now we will be able to work out if our energy useage has gone down as hoped for or if the new features of the new building have actually increased energy use! Plus we are hoping to increase the amount of recycling we do, but more on this later. Next half term promises to be an important, exciting and busy time for Eco Club, make sure you get involved!
